Outdoor Learning
We have a brilliant outdoor site that provides an excellent base to develop outdoor learning (and lifelong) skills. We have a dedicated fire pit area complete with parachute canopy which allows us to have fantastic class based activities around a camp fire all year round, a woodland area to develop creative and engineering skills through den and structure building, an established pond and wildlife area (always popular with the children!) which allows for the devlopment of ecosystem and environmental knowledge and skills and, last but not least, we have a very popular 'wild' area for creative and physical play such as climbing and scrambling with ropes and swings in the trees. The children thoroughly enjoy the opportunities to challenge themselves here and it is wonderful to see how well they collaborate to ensure they manage the risks safely.
